Dating back to 1663, the abbey farm – complete with tithe barn, cow sheds and milking parlour – has been fully restored in 2021. City of Leuven municipality made the deliberate choice to retain the appearance and centuries-old functions of these buildings.
In the Park Abbey, you can view authentic stained glass windows from the 17th century again. After some 200 years of being adrift, the windows have returned in the cloisters of the abbey.

Six facts about the abbey
The City of Leuven has developed a masterplan for the restoration, design, repurposing and opening up of the abbey in 2012. Many buildings on the abbey site have been restored. The restoration campaign will be completed in 2025.
