Dieric Bouts is an unparalleled Flemish Master. He was one of the first to bring mathematical perspective to painting, created beautiful landscapes and worlds full of imagination.
This 42.1 kilometer bike loop takes you to places in and around the city with a connection to the grand master himself. Scan the QR codes along the way and discover even more about the locations and how they relate to life of Dieric Bouts.
The Dieric Bouts Route is only available in English and Dutch.
Practical details
- Starting point: Saint Peter's Church in Leuven
- Before your visit to the Saint Peter's Church, you can park your bike in het bike parking below the Rector de Somerplein.
- If you are coming by car, you can park at the Provincial domain (parking P1 at the Eénmeilaan) and start your route there.
- Follow the cycling nodes: 10 - 74 - 75 - 73 - 11 - 33 - 80 - 4 - 81 - 40 - 35 - 30 - 72 - 26 - 27 - 28 - 97 - 87 - 88 - 95 - 38 - 6 - 7 - 10
