VELO keeps an eye on parked bicycles and makes repairs. It is also a place where you can rent city bikes.

Fietspunt Leuven Station

  • Only from 1 April to 15 October: also open on Saturdays (9:00-17:00)

• Drop-off bikes:
  • e-bikes can only be returned during opening hours

Fietspunt Rector De Somer

  • Monday to Friday: 09:00-19:00
  • Saturday and Sunday: 10:00-19:00
• Price: Bike: € 15
• Limited amount of bycicles available. Both groups and individuals are required to make a reservation through VELO: fietspuntrds@velo.be
• Pick-up bikes: during opening hours up until 15 minutes before closing time
• Drop-off bikes: only during opening hours

Blue-bike

Blue-bike is a bike share system for city bikes and e-bikes. The bikes are available at several locations in the city. You can unlock them through the Blue-bike app.

How does it work?

• You can rent a regular city bike or an e-bike.
• You can pick up and return a bike at any Blue-bike location in the transport region. The bikes are available at various stations and mobility hubs.
• You can start, pause and end your ride using the Blue-bike app. Download the Blue bike-app and register.

How much does it cost?

• Special rates apply in the Leuven transport region.
• You can pay per ride or choose a monthly or yearly subscription.
