‘Herleven. Leuven na 1918’ commemorates the centenary of the First World War. Starting from May 9, the city of Leuven will present the moving narrative of post-war Leuven. The Armistice in 1918 marked the start of the revival of a war-torn city and its citizens, left in ruins. This exposition portrays how the citizens of Leuven revived after the War, both in daily life as in the physical reconstruction of the city surroundings.
