This autumn, Leuven is all about the Arenbergs. This highly noble lineage has left its unmistakable mark on Leuven, Belgium, and Europe over the past centuries. Their 400-year presence in our regions have left behind a very special heritage in terms of art, culture, science, and nature management. A highlight of this is The Arenbergs exhibition in M-Museum Leuven.


9.30 am Arrival in Leuven. Reception with coffee
10.15 am

• Option 1: guided tour of Arenberg Castle
• Option 2: guided tour of the exhibition in the university library on the famous Arenberg Castle in Heverlee and several of its more notable residents
• Option 3: themed walk, ‘Surprising encounters with the Arenbergs’'

12.30 pm

Lunch in a restaurant in the centre of Leuven
2-course menu (main dish + starter OR dessert)

2 pm

Meet up with the guide at the M-Museum Leuven reception desk
• Tour of The Arenbergs exhibition

4 pm  End of the day trip

Price per person:
(based on min. 20 and max. 25 participants)

  • Visit to the exhibition with option 1: as from 36,50 euro per person 
    + one-off 500 euro fee for opening the castle
  • Visit to the exhibition with option 2: as from 39,50 euro per person
  • Visit to the exhibition with option 3: as from 36 euro per person

Extra options for at the arrival (price per person):

  • Danish pastry or roll: + 2,5 euro per person
  • Cake: + 3,50 euro
